Pralhad Joshi gets additional charge of Education Ministry as President accepts Pradhan’s resignation
The development comes after President Droupadi Murmu accepted the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan as education minister.
Pradhan was forced to step down following massive paper leak protests across the country, with Jantar Mantar in Delhi being the epicenter of the Cockroach Janta Party-led youth movement.
While Dharmendra Pradhan may have faced the ire of India’s youth, BJP leaders hailed his tenure as Education Minister, crediting him for ushering in structural reforms in the country’s education system and the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
